Davido Defeats P-Square, Wizkid, KCEE To 'Best African Artiste of the Year' Award At VGMA 2014




HKN Boss Davido, won the ‘Best African Artiste of the Year’ award at the 15th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). Skelewu crooner ousted such strong competitors as P-Square, KCEE, Wizkid, Flavour and South African duo Mafikizolo to grab the award on May 3, 2014, Saturday.


According to organizers, this prize is presented to the “non-Ghanaian musicians whose music crossed borders and made the most impact in Ghana and on the continent at large during the year under review”.

The popular singer, who ‘snatched’ the award from Wizkid last year, took his Instagram to express happiness on the achievement:


“Winner oh winner!! We worked our ass off!! GMA African Artiste Of The Year! Can't lie I'm packing All this year Amen!! Oooossshhheee Fans!!! !!,” Skelewu crooner wrote and shared the photos below.
